Pj Harvey ha condiviso su Twitter un anticipo del suo nuovo singolo, ancora senza nome, che potremo ascoltare per intero da giovedì:

Il nuovo album, che uscirà in primavera, arriva a 5 anni da Let England Shake (vincitore del Mercury Award), ed è stato in parte registrato alla Somerset House di Londra. Una session concepita come una performance artistica, con tanto di pubblico: «Spero di far provare ai visitatori il flusso e l’energia del processo di registrazione» aveva detto la cantautrice.
Lo scorso 9 ottobre Pj Harvey ha suonato 9 nuove canzoni durante la presentazione di The Hollow Of The Hand, una raccolta di versi creata in collaborazione con il fotografo/regista Seamus Murphy. Questo invece una preview video sul nuovo lavoro, direttamente da Facebook:
PJ Harvey returns next year with a new record documenting a unique artistic journey, which took her to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington, D.C. The album was recorded during her month long residency at Somerset House, “Recording in Progress”, in which audiences were given the opportunity to see Harvey at work with her band and producers in a purpose-built studio. Following on from the Mercury Prize winning album “Let England Shake”, this film clip provides a glimpse of what’s to come from PJ Harvey’s ninth long player.
